Volunteer
Whether you enjoy getting your hands dirty with garden maintenance or supporting our exciting programs, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you at Sonoma Botanical Garden. Explore all our current 2025–26 Volunteer Assignments.
Our volunteer program is led by Robert Mahar, the Garden’s Coordinator of Learning & Engagement. If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to reach out to him at rmahar@sonomabg.org.
We offer volunteer orientation twice a year – typically in Spring and Fall – as a way to welcome new volunteers and introduce them to the Garden. During orientation, you’ll learn about our mission, programs, and the many ways you can get involved. Orientation is generally required before beginning any volunteer assignments. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll be in touch with a warm welcome and details about the next orientation session.
If you’re interested in joining the team, we’d love to hear from you. Follow the link below to complete an application.
